This sale is for a complete Mazda MX3 1.6 liter, DOHC engine and five speed manual transmission. It is being sold undamaged and as removed. The engine and transmission had just over 120K when they were removed by their retired engineer owner who had dreams of converting his MX3 into a V6 powered hot rod. The gentleman who owned this vehicle told us that it ran and shifted perfectly. No head gasket problems, no overheating, and no funny shifting habits. As you can see from the pictures this engine is complete and includes all sensors, fuel injectors, etc, etc. The main wiring harness to the engine was cut during removal so you will need to use your original if reinstalling this engine into a Mazda MX3. Several extra parts are included as pictured.

This engine and transmission are being offered for sale by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend. The Port Townsend Aero Museum is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and operation of classic and antique aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. If you have a minute, please take a look at our website

If you are in the Port Townsend, Washington area you can call Jerry Thuotte at 360 531 0252 to arrange a time to come out and look over this engine and transmission. This engine and transmission was donated to the Port Townsend Aero Museum, in Port Townsend, Washington by one of our many supporters. After Ebay fees, all of the remaining proceeds from this auction will go towards the operations cost and towards our new museum building fund.

Payment for the engine must be by bank check, money order, personal check, or Paypal. Local Pick up is preferred on this engine and transmission assembly do to the weight. We will ship on a pallet if necessary but will have to charge a $50 handling charge in addition to the actual freight cost. The winning bidder will need to arrange truck shipping if necessary. Thank you.
